Great Southern Distillery Vodka (700ml)

The Great Southern Distillery's intention is to create "a crystal clear, smooth vodka, with a sweet taste and a velvet mouth feel". Wine is put through a membrane filtration process to strip the major impurities. It's then triple distilled in copper pot stills before being cut to 40% alcohol by volume with natural distilled spring water. Finally, to remove any remaining impurities, the vodka spends extended time in a proprietary carbon filtration system.

Tasting note: Water like appearance. Offers sweet scents of meringue, glace cherry and a touch of white pepper. Silky entry develops into a very gently warming vodka that besides being creamy and semi sweet is almost neutral in terms of discernible flavour. Clean, moderately sweet finish. Mildly peppery aftertaste. 40% Alc./Vol.
