Gilt Gin (700ml)

Scottish Gin is definitely emerging, in particular we've seen several examples from whisky distilleries that have impressed. Gilt is made from a 100% malted barley base - so it could have been Scotch Whisky - distilled in the Vale of Leven near Loch Lomond.

Distiller, Ricky Christie, comments, "We have centuries of distilling expertise and after all those years making Scotch there is no reason why we can't make an excellent gin". Funnily enough, Christie doesn't drink at all, having gone overboard in a past life, so he makes spirits using only his nose to guide him. He describes Gilt as "not too floral or exotic, a gin for every occasion."
