The Four Pillar's Christmas gins are becoming something of an Aussie tradition.
As with previous editions, Cam Mackenzie distills Christmas puddings (made to his mother Wilma's 1968 recipe) with juniper, cinnamon, star anise, coriander and angelica. (Each year Wilma would make her puds on Victoria Derby Day, while the rest of the family listened to the races. To this day, the smell of the house over Christmas cup weekend remains one of Cam's great childhood memories).

A portion of Four Pillar's regular gin is barrel aged in a couple of 125-year-old ex-William Grant scotch whisky barrels that had previously stored Rutherglen Muscat for 80 years. Cam then blends this with the Christmas Pudding gin, and to finish he adds a slight tweak of Rutherglen Classic Muscat to round out the palate. There's also a touch of Four Pillar's own muscat that has been sitting in barrels which previously aged Pedro Ximenez. More than ever, it smells like gin and tastes like Christmas!

In 2018, Melbourne artist Stephen Baker's work 'Basking in the Sun' adorns the label, channelling all that's typical about a hot Aussie Christmas: sunbaking by the pool while listening to the cricket on the radio. 43.8% Alc./Vol.
