Croft Aged Tawny Port 10 Year Old

The House of Croft was founded in 1678, the same year the first ever recorded shipments of Port were made. The late Percy Croft is credited with the quote: 'Any time not spent drinking Port is a waste of time'. Well what are you waiting for?! The grapes used to produce this wine include Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz and Tinto Cao.

A superb Tawny Port.
Translucent, onion brown colour with onion brown and olive green hue. Rancio top note, followed by nuances of old leather, Christmas cake and raisins. End notes of honey and old brandy. The brandy base delivers a fine, balanced spirit backbone over a layer of almond and marzipan. Very spicy back palate which runs well into the back palate and lasts very long into the aftertaste. Long aftertaste of almond, marzipan, raisins and old leather.
