Cognac de Collection Jean Grosperrin La Folle Blanche (700ml)

An unusual assemblage of Folle Blanche from the 2003 and 2008 harvests in Grande Champagne, aged for 5 years.

Tasting note: Pale gold colour. Mild nose prickle is accompanied by hints of fig paste, almond flan, vanilla and clove. Semi-sweet dried fig and sweet spice flavours feature in the profile; quite hot by mid palate with the spirity accent hollowing the palate and curtailing the finish. Interesting for all its rusticity. Like cognac, only raw, but worth a try. 43% Alc./Vol.
