Clase Azul Plata Tequila (750ml)Jalisco, MEXICOReduced from $299.00$280. 00Bottle$3360.00 DozenABV: 40%Produced from organically grown agaves. Captivates with its assertive, salty perfume that reveals exotic oily, smokey agave, brine, pepper and vanilla notes. Not as vivacious as some competitors, being semi-sweet, creamy textured with a juicy roasted pineapple, vanilla and brine mid-palate; Ends sweeter, warming and peppery with a candied lime fade. For those who prefer softer, less traditional styles. Sip or mix with abandon - so long as you can forget the price tag! Kosher certified. 40% Alc./Vol.
Other reviews... This is a striking blanco, unlike any other I’ve tried. On the nose: Agave and peppers, a mere hint at what’s in the glass. Take a sip and Clase Azul’s Plata goes nuts: There is so much going on here I scarcely know where to start. First off: It’s bracingly sweet, not sugary, but like Nutrasweet. Powerful and palate-jarring. If you can push past that, you get some of that agave character, plenty of nutty notes, a bit of spice, and a finish that tastes like a candy bar. It’s long and lasting, more like a liqueur than a tequila. If any 100% agave tequila could use lime and salt to balance it out — not because it’s alcoholically heavy in the slightest, mind you — this is it. - drinkhacker.com

Larmandier-Bernier Rose de Saignee Premier Cru ChampagneChampagne, FRANCEReduced from $280.00$250. 00Bottle$3000.00 DozenABV: 12.5%Closure: CorkSaignée literally means ‘to bleed’. In winemaking parlance, it means to draw the free-run juice of a grape, off the grape skins typically prior to, or shortly after, the start of fermentation. In this case, the grapes (100% Pinot Noir) are allowed to macerate for several days before the juice is drawn off and it is this ‘soak’ that gives the colour and much of the body and flavour to the wine. This technique is now extremely rare in Champagne—it is a demanding method of vinification that requires grapes with an excellent degree of maturity. Hence most rosé (in Champagne) is made by the addition of a little red wine. This bottling is drawn entirely from what is thought to be the oldest Pinot Noir vines in Vertus, and one of the very last 100% Pinot vineyards. As with all of Larmandier’s wines it’s naturally fermented. Larmandier raises part of this cuvée in a Nomblot concrete egg and partly in stainless steel (and more recently he has been trialling amphora as well).
A fluffy mousse dissipates over a salmon pink coloured base that’s threaded by an exceptionally fine and persistent stream of bubbles. Jumping out of the glass are alluring scents of strawberries, subtle blood orange and raspberry which meld into yeast lees, baked bread and faint cashew notes. Delicious strawberry, raspberry and subtle blood orange fruits have a creamy feel over a back drop of yeast lees, bready characters and traces of sherbet. Dry refreshing finish with mouth watering acidity leading into a long creamed strawberry conclusion.

Bunnahabhain Eirigh Na Greine Single Malt Scotch Whisky (1000ml)Islay, SCOTLANDReduced from $169.99$149. 99Bottle$1799.88 DozenABV: 46.3%Peated to 3-8ppm and finished in French and Italian red wine casks. The result is a sultry combination of red berries, salt and smoke.
Pronounced "Ae-ree ne gray-nyuh" meaning ‘Morning Sky’ in Gaelic, this is a Duty Free only Bunnah'. A relatively small number of cases are produced every year and a significant proportion of high-quality ex-red wine cask-matured whiskies of various ages are in the mix. Spritely and concentrated, the aromas evolve with strawberry-cream sponge cake, dried berries and fruit beer. The palate confirms the provenance of the casks, at first offering cocoa and barley flavours with a saline / pepper edge, however the creamy finish is the highlight - punctuated with strawberry sponge cake and red berry notes. It's tasty stuff, with a proper ABV in a big one litre format. If the price is right, you can't lose. 46.3% Alc./Vol. Non-chill filtered.
Other reviews... A sweet, spicy, complex Bunna but with a curiously thin shell. 89.5 points - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2024
...the recipe includes whiskies matured in French and Italian red wine casks. Jammy fruits and spice on the nose, with bramble, raspberry, maritime notes, allspice, and clove. The palate abounds with fruity freshness, showing apple, orange, and fruit Life Savers, developing flavors of sweet honey, cashew, salted caramel, and candied orange, giving way to citrus peel and peat smoke on the finish. 90 points - whiskyadvocate.com
...sweet, beautiful wine notes combined with the nutty Bunnahbhain. Very long and sweet rather than dry from the wood. Conclusion: a nice whisky, very tasty, if not too complex. The wine notes are doing really well here. - whiskybase.com
