Berentzen Wild Cherry Kirsche Schnapps Liqueur (700ml)

Since its foundation in 1758, Berentzen is now one of Germanys top Liqueur companies and one of the most prominent manufacturers of liquors in Europe. Based in the romantic Haseluenne near the oldHanseatic city in the Ems country, their long history is today combined with the most modern production methods. The original Berentzen spirits are produced from the finest fruits, carefully selected to ensure a consistently crisp and light flavour and are best enjoyed icy cold.

Kirsch is not usually produced as a liqueur but as a stone fruit brandy. It can be produced using a variety of ingredients including cherries, prunes or plums. Slivovitz is comparable. The crushed kernels of the fruit are included with the fruit juice before fermentation as they infuse the brandy with a fine, bitter tang. Berentzen Kirsch liqueur is a sweeter version of the style bottled for sale at relatively low alcoholic strength.
