Rum is a spirit distilled direct from sugarcane products in sugarcane producing countries. Bacardi Gold is the premium rum from the Bacardi stable based in Peurto Rico. Unlike its Barbados counterparts, it is the world’s first refined golden rum, filtered once through charcoal for smoothness and aged in charred white oak for character. Lighter, drier and more delicate in style.

Other reviews... Golden amber color. Dark caramel, anise cookie, and wet hay aromas. A round entry leads to a dryish medium-bodied palate with smoky caramel and peppery spice flavors. Finishes with a pithy, watery caramel fade. 37.5% alc./vol.
