Horisumi Summer is the fourth and final gin in a collaborative series with Japanese tattoo artist, Kian Forreal (Horisumi).
Summed up by Archie Rose as an aromatic, playful gin and one of the most refreshing in the series thanks to botanicals such as white peach and Australian-grown yuzu peel and mandarin. The label has been hand-illustrated by Horisumi himself: A vibrant peony represents wealth, good fortune and bravery in Japan, while the snake, or “hebi”, is a creature that when seen in white is embraced as a good omen. Extremely limited stocks. Tasting note: Clear. Very expressive with up-front citrus peel and orange zest aromas over distant juniper. Later inhalations suggest peach tart and tropical fruits. A vivacious, medium to full bodied delivery with flavours of citrus blossom, citrus peel, ginger-like warmth and a lively, tingling lemon meringue and piney-juniper aftertaste.
