Applewood Gin of Envy (500ml)

Gin and Craft Beer Unite in this the third release in Applewood’s eclectic Seven Deadly Sins series.

“We're in a fortunate position here at Applewood HQ - work hard, love what we do, have a kick-ass team - and finish the day sharing a handful of craft beers with our mates. In fact - we love visiting breweries - so it was only fitting that we celebrate craft beer (Applewood-ified) for Part 3 of our Seven Deadly Gins! to creatively interpret our brief for this Gin - we kept on the 'green' path and turned towards Wormwood, Strawberry Gum Leaf, Native Australian Thyme, Lemon Myrtle - and a decent citrus-whack from Australian Finger Limes. After a double-dose of Juniper, we weren't quite satisfied...we just had to get in contact with our mates at Little Bang Brewing Company to help us out...generously guided our hands towards a cheeky post-maceration of Galaxy Hops - the hallmark of many-a-craft-frothy!

"Still not happy - we took a page out of the Geneverh and book and back-added some Malt Spirit to perk things up a bit!"  Very limited stocks.

Tasting note: Pale yellow blush. This is packed with scents of lemon, lime and minty freshness while juniper remains in retreat. Medium bodied with a relaxed, gently spiced entry and medium dry flavours; hints of juniper through the middle, while the finish highlights the hop input in a subtle but attractive fashion. 43% Alc./Vol.
