2021 Poonawatta The Eden Riesling

The Eden is produced from a single vineyard located in the heart of the Eden Valley region, established in1972. These old vines cling to the poorest soils on the Poonawatta property; the lean environment keeping the yields low, flavours concentrated and the fruit pure.

Boasting superb intensity and power, this is one for the Riesling purists.

Brilliant water like colour with greenish tinged edges. Powerful lemon and lime aromatics soar out of the glass with talc, orange rind and subtle steely mineral notes ensuing. Mouth watering lemon and lime flavours display terrific intensity and drive backed by crunchy acidity. Dry, crisp finish with a very long scrumptious aftertaste. Superb.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
