The Great Southern wine region is one of the largest in Australia, it’s sub regions include the likes of Frankland River, Mount Barker and Porongurup. Over the last decade it’s reputation for producing world class Rieslings has developed to such an extent that it’s now a serious challenger to Clare Valley, making some of the country’s best Rieslings. The 2019 vintage delivered excellent growing conditions, with winter and spring being reasonably dry and summer holding cooler temperatures.

A powerful Great Southern Riesling with exceptional intensity of flavour.

Brilliant water like core with greenish tinged edges. Jumping out of the glass are intense lime, green apple, citrus and orange rind scents with talc and steely mineral notes in hot pursuit. Showing superb concentration are mouth watering flavours of lime, citrus and green apple with elements of orange rind and a flinty minerality sitting underneath. Finishes dry with outstanding power and crunchy acidity vibrating right through the long driving aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 12.4%

Other Reviews….
The scented bouquet is full of Granny Smith apple blossom aromas augmented by lemon/lime citrus fruit, the offer bound and packaged by minerally acidity, and you will know this before it begins its journey along the palate to cleanse the aftertaste. Drink by 2034.
