Fruit was sourced from Pemberton and the Great Southern regions. Semi translucent dark red core with black tinged edges and a light red to brick red hue. Spicy cherry and strawberry scents have a dried meat, forest floor and dried herb overlay. Light in body with a fleshy supple feel, red to dark cherry fruits meld with smoked meats, forest floor and spicy dried herbs. Slightly dryish finish with fine grained tannins and a savoury aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 12.9%

Other Reviews….
A blend of pinot noir from vineyards in Pemberton and Mount Barker, destemmed, cold soaked for 4 days, 50% of the batch was fermented with wild yeast, mlf in barrel. Love the burst of bright, floral, red cherry scent with just a lick of anise. So smart. Bright, too, on palate with red fruits to the fore with an overall crispness, finely tannined and smooth. Hits the price point and jumps over it. Drink by 2027.
