Luke Lambert is the winemaker behind this vibrant, juicy Shiraz. Totally opaque dark purple black colour with a deep bright dark purple hue. Lifted aromas of violets and spicy dark plum infused with clove intermix with liquorice, earth and fresh herb notes. Delicious ripe dark berry fruits fill the mouth with elements of liquorice, scorched earth and infusions of fresh herbs leading into a peppery finish. Supple yet meaty like mid palate feel with velvety tannins and bright underlying acidity. Inky medium to long aftertaste of freshly crushed berries and spicy pepper.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
Here’s the sort of soundbite that retailers love. The Crudo range, quite possibly, offers the most sophisticated and high quality drinking available at its price point in this country. Or something like that.
Violets over blackberry and boysenberry, cracked pepper, grilled meat and spice. It’s silky, but dense and meaty, weight of fruit almost compressed by shale and granite, or something fanciful like that. Rich in tannin, subtle in acidity, no oak influence to speak of, sweetness and perfume of fruit, rolled in dried herb and black olive savouries. Long and slick with rich silty tannin to close. Almost like Shiraz meets Aglianico? Italianate and natty feel. Best Crudo Shiraz to date, no question. Drink 2020-2028.
