$479.88 Dozen
Cellar: Drink now - 4 Years (2021-2025)
ABV: 14%
Closure: Stelvin

Made with fruit from the Suma Park Vineyard on the Bellarine Peninsula, the juice undergoes spontaneous fermentation in 100% new French oak and is matured in approximately 50% new French oak puncheons. This vintage has also undergone a natural malo-lactic fermentation.
Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Elevated ripe peach, nectarine and dried honey scents are intermeshed with biscuity nougat, cashew and subtle spicy crème brulee notes. Rich, full and creamy in texture, the mouth is engulfed with luscious peach, baked pear and dried honey flavours which overlay a roasted almond, crème brulee and spicy nougat background. Balanced finish with nicely judged acidity leading into a long, richly textured aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews…..
A savoury, mealy style of chardonnay, a nice contrast to the top-tier Allegra. Plenty of barrel ferment complexity, together with almond, nougat, pear and lovely spiciness. Melds beautifully on the palate with quince, grilled nuts and mandarin rind. Harmonious oak. Quite the complex number for a wine so young. Drink by 2025.
