2019 Kilikanoon Killerman's Run Grenache Shiraz Mataro

Winemaker Kevin Mitchell has a talent for producing budget priced offerings that offer amazing value under the Kilikanoon Killerman’s Run label. Made in the style of a Southern Rhone blend the wine was matured in a range of seasoned French oak hogsheads for 16 months. The three grape varieties all sit in perfect sync with one another to deliver a brilliant buy.
Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of dark raspberries, liquorice and blackberries show good elevation out of the glass with trailing vanillin cedar and peppered earth notes. Rich and quite full in body the palate is awash with succulent dark raspberry, liquorice and plum fruits. Opulent mouthfeel with elements of spicy vanillin oak and earthy pepper sitting underneath. Sturdy yet polished tannins provide ample structure. Concludes long and juicy. Super value yet again.
