2019 Hahndorf Hill White Mischief Gruner Veltliner

Brilliant very pale straw colour with a greenish tinge to the outskirts and a watery hue. Lifted aromas of pears, red apple, subtle dried honey and lime are trailed by fresh herb notes. The moreish palate is intensely flavoured with pear, lime and mango fruits which create a sensation of fullness in the mouth yet at the same time are mouth wateringly fresh. Finishes dry and crisp with a light stoniness and infusions of fresh herbs making an appearance on the long, delightfully refreshing aftertaste.

Made in a New World fruit-driven style emphasising a broad range of varietal primary fruits. Hand-picked, chilled for 24 hours in small slotted bins, pressed, free-run fermented separately from the pressings then blended back to provide textural play, left on gross lees for a time. Drink by 2026.
