$29. 99
Bottle
$359.88 Dozen
Cellar: Drink now - 5 Years (2020-2025)
ABV: 13%
Closure: Stelvin

The excellent 2019 vintage provided Giant Steps with parcels of Chardonnay that had a depth and intensity not seen since 2015. Fermented in French oak with no lees stirring and no malolactic fermentation the wine was matured in the same barrels (10% new) for 8 months.

Brilliant pale straw colour with glistening green edges and a watery hue. Refined aromatics of white peach, nectarine, citrusy dried honey, subtle biscuity oak and notions of gun flint drift from the glass. Rich yet elegant, fresh and gently creamy in texture all at the same time, the palate is layered with expressive white peach, nectarine and dried honey flavours which have an understated intensity. Citrus, light nougat, biscuity oak and spice characters underscore the fruit. Well integrated acidity provides freshness to a lengthy finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 13%

Other Reviews....
Stunningly precise, vivid and mouthwatering, with a hint of butterscotch to the lemon curd, pear and mango flavors. Intense and juicy, finishing fresh and vibrant. Details of white tea and roasted hazelnut emerge on the finish. Drink now through 2030.

Hand-picked, chilled, whole-bunch pressed, wild fermentation on full solids, no stirring, no mlf, matured in French oak (10% new) for 8 months. The bouquet is slightly funky/reduced, but it's elegance and purity that are the essence of this wine, made by a master of the art. Drink by 2032.
