Vibrant dark red colour with tinges of black around the edges and a light purple red hue. Perfumed like nose with scents of violets married to ripe cherries, strawberries, hints of anise, forest floor and spicy fresh herbs. Bright red cherry and juicy strawberry fruits are underpinned by vivid acidity with some forest floor, fresh herb infusions and spice making an appearance on the back half. Fine grained tannins finishing with a youthful freshness on the aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 13.7%

Other Reviews….
Hand-picked from a vineyard at Yarra Glen, 30% whole bunch, wild ferment and 8 months in French oak (15% new). Plenty of ripe and almost perfumed cherry-like fruit to be found here, the whole bunch and oak inputs having only a minor say. It's juicy without tipping towards sweetness, and the fine astringency is the balancing factor. Really good drinking. Drink by 2026.
