2019 De Iuliis Semillon

An excellent example of Hunter Valley’s world renown Semillon. Brilliant water like colour with greenish tinged edges. Zesty citrus, granny smith apple and lime scents are overlaid by wet steel with some flinty mineral notes also present. Crunchy lime and green apple flavours mesh with steely characters and citrusy mineral nuances. Crisp acidity gives the dry finish a laser like focus. Zippy citrus fruit driven conclusion.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.

Perfectly poised and focused, a wine that's in no hurry, sure of its 20+-year future, offering different focus as it ages. Its constant characteristic will be its length, built on citrus/herb and crisp, unwavering tannins. As the years pass, buttered toast, honey and nuts will build. Drink to 2039.
