2019 COS Frappato

COS have championed the rare grape Frappato since the inception of this project in 1980 by owners Giusto Occhipinti and Titta Cilia. Seeing the potential of Frappato, they set about to make a wine with unique character, intense but extremely fresh and light on its feet.

Light bright red colour with black tinged edges and a crimson hue. Fragrant red cherry and red liquorice scents are interwoven with fresh herbs, subtle incense and flinty stone like notes. Very elegant, light in body and fresh, red cherry and red liquorice flavours laced with flinty rock like characters overlay gentle infusions of incense, subtle balsamic nuances and spicy dried herbs. Vibrant finish with fresh crunchy like acidity and light refined tannins. The delicate medium length aftertaste full of energy.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
