2019 Catalina Sounds Sauvignon Blanc

The 2018/19 Marlborough growing season was one of extremes but concluded with a very positive outcome. Cool and wet conditions over flowering resulted in fewer berries per bunch and then a record dry spell through January and February ensured berries remained small and concentrated, bringing richness and weight to the 2019 release.
Brilliant water like colour with a greenish tinged outskirts. Bounding from the glass are intense aromatics of ripe gooseberry, passionfruit and lime which are trailed by subtle herbaceous grassy characters. Filling the mouth are generous gooseberry, passionfruit and citrus fruits which overlay a back drop of subtle asparagus and herbaceous grassy characters. Finishes with mouth watering acidity and a long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
