2018 Warrabilla Reserve Malbec

This is the second release of Warrabilla’s Malbec and it is only lightly oaked with maturation taking place in predominately seasoned wood and a touch of new French oak in order to highlight the red and blue fruits.

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a vibrant purple red hue. Aromas of fresh dark cherries and liquorice laced with herbs emanate from the glass with hints of blueberry, vanillin cedar and spice also present. Medium weight, youthful and possessing a fresh fleshy feel, the palate is decorated with rich ripe cherry, blueberry and red liquorice flavours which are underpinned by spicy vanillin cedar and fresh herb infusions. Bright acidity, finely grained tannins and a medium to long finish.
