2018 Viticoltori Senesi Aretini Chianti

A great value Chianti that sees fermentation in stainless steel vats and 6 months aging in oak barrels.

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright red hue. Spicy ripe red currant and red cherry aromas blossom out of the glass followed by dried herbs and earth. On the medium weight palate there’s plenty of savoury appeal to the red to dark currant fruit with elements of earth, dried herbs and spice also chiming in. Slightly dryish finish with rustic tannins, bright acidity and a medium length finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
