2018 Tyrrell's Rufus Stone Heathcote Shiraz

Matured predominately in French oak barriques of which 20% were new for a period of 18 months. Opaque dark purple black core with a bright purple hue. Aromas of spicy dark plums and liquorice mix with toasty vanillin cedar and subtle pepper notes. Medium weight, juicy dark plum, blackberry and liquorice flavours overlay a back drop of vanillin cedar and pepper. Soft, velvety tannins with youthful acidity underpinning the fruit. Finishes with medium length on the pepper infused aftertaste.
