A blend of Barossa Valley (75%) and Eden Valley (25%) fruit, the Barossa Valley contributes plushness and concentration whilst the Eden Valley component brings elegance and structure to the blend. The average age of vines is 50 years old and maturation takes place in a mixture of new (15%) and seasoned French oak for a period of 20 months. 2018 was a high quality vintage for the Barossa with Shiraz one of the stand out varieties.

Wonderfully aromatic and deeply concentrated.

Dense pitch black core with an equally deep dark purple black hue. Soaring aromatics of dark plum, ripe blackberries, liquorice and hints of dark chocolate waft through the nostrils trailed by vanillin cedar, traces of earthy fennel and spice notes. Dense and concentrated, the palate is brimming with rich seductive fruits that power through to an extravagantly long finish. Plump dark plum, ripe blackberry, liquorice and black cherry flavours have a voluptuous textural feel and are set against a back drop of vanillin oak, earthy dark chocolate, fennel and spice. Velvet like tannins have a sturdy underbelly. Exceptionally long and lavish conclusion.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
