A blend of 53% Grenache, 28% Shiraz and 19% Mataro sourced from vines ranging in age between 40 to 150 year old vines. Maturation took place in large 4500 litre French oak foudre vats for a period of 20 months. Impenetrable pitch black core with a very deep dark red black tinged hue. A potent mix of black raspberry, liquorice, blackberry and black cherry fruits explode out of the glass trailed by fennel, scorched earth and spicy dried herb notes. Cascading across the palate is a powerful wave of rich, plush black raspberry, liquorice and black cherry fruits which are underscored by fennel, subtle scorched earth and pepper. Dense opulent texture with structurally sound yet velvet like tannins. Magnificent intensity with a long lavish aftertaste. A big, powerful GSM.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
