- Cellar Drink Now - 6 years (2019-2025)
- ABV 13.5%
- Closure: Stelvin
Semi translucent dark red colour with a light red hue. A fragrant mix of dark cherry, anise and ripe strawberry aromas are trailed by some meatiness, forest floor and spicy cedar notes. Light on its feet the palate sports a delicious flavour profile of ripe dark cherries and strawberries over a back drop of anise, forest floor characters, lightly toasted cedar and spice. Supple feel with excellent power, silky tannins, fresh acidity and a long inviting finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
The vivid crimson hue has the clarity the best pinot noir winemakers achieve. It's all about appearing to keep your hands off - you have to meet pinot on the terms it dictates, and understand the vinous alchemy at work. The length of this wine will hit you the moment you wonder whether it's not coming. But it's then relentless, with aromas and flavours of wild strawberries, cherries (red and black), and pomegranate. Drink by 2035.
