The Seabrook family have a long history in the Australian wine industry, dating back to 1878 when William Seabrook established one of Australia’s earliest wine merchants, W.J. Seabrook & Son. Today, fifth generation member Hamish Seabrook carries on the tradition. After graduating from Adelaide University with a bachelor of Oenology, Hamish went on to work and make wine for Best’s Great Western where industry legend Viv Thomson took him under his wing. After several other senior winemaking roles, Hamish went on to establish his own brand continuing the families long involvement in the wine industry.

Rich and densely textured this is a big, brooding Barossa Valley Shiraz.

Sourced from Seabrook’s Home Block located on the eastern ridge of the Barossa Valley, the wine was matured for 24 months in barrel. Magnificent colour saturation featuring a dense, inky black heart and a deep dark red black hue. Heady aromas of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate waft through the nostrils marrying into elements of vanillin oak, scorched earth and spice along the way. Dense, super rich and opulent the palate is awash with luscious blackberry, liquorice, ripe black cherry and dark chocolate flavours. Lying in the background are vanillin oak, earth and spice characters. Ripe chewy tannins provide structure. Concludes long and powerful with a decadent feel.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
