2018 S.C. Pannell Nero Diavola

Nero d’Avola, Sicily’s most famous vinous export, is an early-flowering, late-ripening variety that tolerates heat without dropping acidity, making it perfect for a dry region near the sea such as McLaren Vale.

Totally opaque black dark purple core with a dark purple hue. Pronounced liquorice and black cherry aromas intermingle with spicy dark plums, infusions of incense and subtle fresh herb notes. Medium weight, juicy liquorice and black cherry flavours overlay a back drop of earthy incense and subtle fresh herb infusions with a very spicy finish. Vibrant yet perfectly integrated acidity, slightly chewy ripe tannins and a long spicy black fruited aftertaste.
