Winemaker Tim Knappstein and son Nick are the names behind the Riposte range of wines, sourcing fruit from dedicated growers in the Adelaide Hills. Semi translucent bright dark red colour with black tinged edges and a vibrant light red hue. The beautifully perfumed nose tosses up bouquet of violets, freshly crushed cherries, strawberries, incense, aromatic herbs and spice, showing excellent intensity. Lively, light on its feet and juicy, delicious flavours of just crushed ripe cherries and strawberries play with traces of anise and herb infusions. Supple mouthfeel and velvety tannins, finishing spicy with bright acidity, good length and a medium to long aftertaste. A well-honed vibrant early drinking Pinot Noir.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews…
Here we go again. This is fantastic buying. Such good drinking at a snip of a price. Cherry-plum, redcurrant, sweet oak, throws of spice. Its appeal is obvious and immediate. Tannin is gum-smooth; it continues the uncomplicated theme. Varietal character served easy as you like. Price $22. Drink 2019-2023+
