2018 Port Phillip Estate Red Hill Pinot Noir

Matured for 11 months in French oak barriques of which 20% were new. Semi translucent bright red colour with a very light red hue. Fragrant ripe red cherry and light sour cherry notes laced with fresh herbs overlay a subtle meatiness, forest floor and spice. Light in body with a vibrant feel the palate serves up a savoury flavour profile of red cherries and winter strawberries, a dash of sour cherries adding freshness. Subtle dried herb, meaty characters and spicy forest floor elements ensue. Good power concluding with a lick of bright acidity, finely meshed tannins and a long delicious aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Frisky style, light in colour too, but satiny to the touch. The palate has an attractive tension. Cherries, cranberries, leafy spice and musk. Impeccable. Delicious. Juicy. Everything in its right place. For now or later. Drink 2019-2024+
