Impenetrable inky black colour with a dark red black hue. The nose has a pronounced pepperiness to it with scents of black cherry, liquorice, smoked meats, black olive and graphite also evident. Medium to full in body, rich blackberry and liquorice fruits meld into dried meats, smoky cedar and black olive elements finishing with a burst of blackpepper. Quite elegant and muscular in its feel with robust yet fine grained tannins. Concludes peppery, refined and long.
Cellar 6-8 years.

Other Reviews….
Made from the celebrated Barossa clone 1654, part fermented in tank, part open-fermented, 10 months in 95% French and 5% American oak (25% new). Inky deep purple; despite its colour, controlled extraction of an utterly delicious, utterly typical Barossa shiraz. Was awarded the intensely sought trophy at the '19 Barossa Valley Wine Show for Best '18 Shiraz. The balance is flawless, the screwcap guaranteeing a nigh-on eternal life. Drink by 2048.
