2018 Pencarrow Pinot Noir

Fermented with 10% whole clusters and 85% wild yeasts before being aged in French oak for 10 months of which 25% was new. Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright red hue. Aromas of spicy dark plum and dark cherry are interwoven with anise, toasty oak, forest floor and spice. Light and savoury the palate is filled with dark cherry, plum and anise fruits which sit over a back drop of toasty cedar and spice. Good fleshy feel finishing with a lick of bright acidity. Finely grained, slightly dryish tannins with a medium length conclusion.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
