2018 Pedestal Chardonnay

Matured in a combination of new and one year old French oak for 8 months. Brilliant watery pale straw colour with distinctive highlights of green around the edges. Showing good intensity the nose offers up fresh white peach and nectarine aromas which intermingle with dried honey, citrusy nougat characters and light spicy biscuit notes. Fresh and vibrant yet possessing an elegant creamy feel the palate is filled with white peach and nectarine flavours which sit over a back drop of lightly toasted biscuity oak, citrusy nougat, subtle dried honey and traces of gun flint. Dry finish with lively fresh acidity, excellent depth and a long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
