2018 Pandolfa Federico Sangiovese Superiore

Eighty percent of this wine was aged in stainless steel tanks with the balance in large Slovenian oak barrels for a period of 12 months. Deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Spicy ripe currant and cherry aromas infused with dried herbs are trailed by some earthy tobacco notes. Medium bodied with a light, elegant feel, expressive ripe red currant fruits overlay earthy tobacco characters and spicy dried herbs. Dryish finish with slightly chalky tannins and bright acidity evolving into a savoury medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
