Made from a blend of 3 vineyards with around 70 year old vines which lie in the middle of the appellation, from Tres Girard, Les Cognees and Bas Chenevery.
Dark red in colour with black tinged edges showing excellent depth. Very pretty nose emitting fragrant violet, fresh herb and red fruit scents followed by subtle meaty earth and spicy cedar notes. A combination of finesse and richness, the elegantly built palate is decorated with densely structured red to dark cherry and strawberry fruits which are underpinned by rugged yet finely balanced tannins and energetic acidity. Earth, infusions of fresh herbs, light graphite and spicy cedar also chime in. The most concentrated and powerful of the trio of Lignier Michelot Burgundies tasted, it’s generous red to dark fruits extend right through to a long aftertaste.
Cellar 8-10 years.
Alc. 13.2%
