2018 J.Moreau & Fils Chardonnay

Renowned Chablis producer J.Moreau & Fils have branched out from their traditional roots to produce this very affordable Chardonnay that’s very Chablisisque like. Vins de France is a relatively new appellation that allows winemakers to source grapes from different French regions and allows for a greater liberty in winemaking techniques.

At a fraction of the price of Chablis this delivers great value.

Brilliant pale straw colour with hints of green around the edges and a watery hue. The nose shows a good whiff of pear, lime and green apple aromas infused with fresh herbs over a stony mineral background. Nicely textured with a rounded pebble stone like feel in the mouth, fresh pear and lime flavours sit over a bed of garden herbs and wet slate. Finishes dry and minerally with refreshing acidity on the medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
