2018 Fontaleoni Chianti Colli Senesi

A blend of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaiolo matured in steel tanks for 8 months. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright dark red hue. Violet, red cherry and red currant aromas are followed by hints of earth and fresh herb notes. Light in body, the savoury palate has flavours of spicy red cherries, red currants, earth and dried herbs. Dryish finish with bright underlying acidity and slightly chalky tannins giving it a rustic feel on the medium length aftertaste.
