2018 Elgee Park Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak for 10 months. Semi translucent red colour with subtle tinges of black around the edges and a light red hue. Possessing a perfumed like quality, the nose sees violet, dark cherry and strawberry aromas spring from the glass with forest floor, subtle dried meat, spicy cedar and fresh herb notes ensuing. Savoury red cherry and winter strawberry fruits subtlety layer themselves across the palate underpinned by spicy vanillin cedar, forest floor and traces of dried herbs. Lacks some conviction in terms of its power. Smooth, polished tannins and balanced acidity with a medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
