Matured for 18 months in a mixture of new and seasoned French oak. Magnificent depth of colour featuring an inky black heart with a deep dark red black hue. Very refined, the nose sees a bounty of red to black currant and mulberry scents sail out of the glass with complexing notes of vanillin cedar, black olive, dusty tobacco and faint spicy bay leaf. Rich red to black currant fruits are scattered supplely across the medium bodied palate with elements of mulberry, cedary tobacco characters, dusty earth, infusions of bay leaf and spice in the background. Polished, super fine yet structured tannins finishing with good freshness and a long elegant aftertaste.
Cellar 8-10 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
From the original vineyard planted in '87, the wine matured in new and used French oak for 18 months. This is high-quality, autocratic cabernet, with blackcurrant, earth and bay leaf on the bouquet and palate alike. It's minimalist winemaking, allowing the fruit maximum room to speak. Drink by 2038.
