- ABV 13.2%
- Closure: Stelvin
Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Elevated scents of spicy dark cherries and strawberries infused with prominent dried clove characters are trailed by forest floor and dried herb notes. Possessing good weight and a very supple mouthfeel, rich dark cherry and strawberry fruit is to the fore overlaying a dried clove, forest floor, spicy cedar and dried herb background. Smooth velvet like tannins. Excellent power wave with a very persistent and moreish aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
42 dozen made. 100% whole bunch from the Lone Star Creek vineyard in Woori Yallock.
A whole lot of bunch here laden with spice, pepper, smoke, nuts and cherry. Good flavour, cherry, strawberry dusted with brown sugar, cool and free-flowing, fine acidity, fine emery tannin, finish is fresh, long and spicy. So nicely done. Drink 2019-2025+
