2018 By Farr Tout Pres Pinot Noir

Tout Près is fermented with 100% whole bunches and is matured in 100% new Allier French barrels. The resulting wine layered with lush fruit but masculine in style with a coveted structure found only in the most age worthy wines.
Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. A fragrant potpourri of violet, red to dark cherry, winter strawberry, clove, smoked meat, stalky cedar, dried herb, earthy forest floor and spice aromatics blossom from the glass. Both intense and powerful yet remarkably light on its feet, the palate is richly flavoured with dark cherry, red plum and strawberry fruits which have a smoky clove accent to them. Elements of spicy cedar, dried meats, earthy forest floor, light sappy stalk like characters and dried herbs lie underneath. Gorgeous supple mouthfeel, beautifully balanced fresh acidity combining with finely structured tannins to provide an impeccable framework. In a definite nod to Burgundy the aftertaste is exceptionally long and super refined.
Drink over the next 8-10 years.
