Situated in the lush Tarwin River valley of South Gippsland, Bellvale was established in 1998 by John Ellis who spent years honing his craft with many trips to Burgundy. The 2018 vintage saw 12 months maturation in French oak, 10% of which was new.

As good as the 2017 Bellvale Pinot Noir was, the 2018 is a step up in quality delivering ripping value with a drinkability factor of 10 out of 10.

Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Fragrant dark cherry and ripe strawberry aromas tinged with hints of toasty cedar, anise and forest floor are followed by some spicy dried herb end notes. Rich, expansive and silky in its mouthfeel, flavours of spicy ripe dark cherries and strawberries supplely caress the palate underscored by traces of anise, forest floor and subtle spicy dried herbs. Fantastic power wave and well balanced acidity. Velvet smooth tannins are superbly integrated with the fruit leading into a long moreish aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
