Sourced from 80 year old Blewitt Springs bush vines. Vibrant dark red core with black tinged edges and a bright red purple hue. Fragrant crushed raspberry scents intermix with violets, plum, ripe cherries, liquorice, subtle notions of incense and spice. Juicy crushed red berry flavours including raspberry, plum juice and liquorice have a silky feel gliding effortlessly across the palate. Finishes with subtle incense, infusions of fresh herbs and lively acidity. Wonderful freshness and intensity with a supple feel to the tannins and a long delicious aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Other Reviews…..
Old bush vines make up this wine. Part of a trio of grenaches to emerge as the latest Aphelion release. Bright and full perfume of rose hip tea and faint Turkish Delight characters, maraschino cherry and strawberry. The palate teeters into sweetness but has a lovely, supple flow, good length and a fine, gently puckering, fresh-feeling finish. A sense of elegance here, with a wine ready to roll but also just that little bit enticing for future drinking too. Texture is beautiful. Delicious. Drink 2019-2023.
