2017 Yarra Valley Cleanskin Chardonnay

A great value Yarra Valley Chardonnay from an up and coming producer. Barrel fermented in neutral oak. Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinct tinge of green lining the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine tinged with hints of grapefruit are followed by some citrus, gun flint and mineral notes. Showing good intensity on the medium weighted palate are ripe nectarine, white peach and citrus fruits with traces of dried honey, biscuit, light infusions of gun flint and spice also evident. Finishes with good freshness and depth on the medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
