2017 Water Wheel Shiraz

Matured in a combination of new and old American oak. Impenetrable pitch black colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Elevated liquorice, black cherry and blackberry aromatics marry into lightly smoked vanillin oak and blackpepper. Rich and opulently textured, the generously weighted palate is redolent with liquorice, ripe black cherry and blackberry fruit which is underscored by subtlety toasted vanillin oak, traces of fennel and spicy pepper characters on the finish. Firm yet velvet like tannins. Good depth with a lengthy aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
