2017 Vickery The V Reserve Watervale Riesling

From the exceptional 2017 vintage, a small parcel of fruit from the Koerner ‘G6 Block’ stood out for its unique character and potential for ageing, and was kept separate from the main Watervale blend to produce this Reserve Riesling. Bottle aged for 30 months prior to release.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with reflections of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Intense lime, lemon and orange rind aromas are complexed by elements of light oily toast, wet steel and minerals. Superbly concentrated flavours of lime, citrus and orange rind create a sense of fullness across the mid palate. Wet steel, faint toast and flinty mineral characters then flow on with crunch acidity sitting underneath. Outstanding power and depth with a long mouth watering finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
