2017 Vickery Eden Valley Riesling

John Vickery is a legend of the Australian wine industry and is widely acknowledged as the old master of Riesling. His illustrious career spans over 50 years at the likes of Leo Buring and Richmond Grove during which time he amassed more than 50 Trophies and over 400 gold medals. He was also responsible for the re-introduction of screw caps with his 1998 Richmond Grove Watervale Riesling. Vickery wines are made in collaboration with Philip Lehmann, son of Peter Lehmann.

A Scrumptious and intensely flavoured Eden Valley Riesling loaded with power.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and watery hue. Pronounced lemon and lime aromatics infused with talc overlay hints of orange rind and mineral. The palate possesses magnificent power dishing up mouth watering lime and citrus flavours which intermingle with notions of orange rind and talcy mineral infusions. Crisp acid finish with a very long lime, citrus, talc, orange rind and mineral aftertaste. A superb Eden Valley Riesling that’s as about as intensely flavoured as it gets.
