2017 Varvaglione 12 e Mezzo Primitivo del Salento

Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Nosing offers up jammy dark cherry and black plum scents followed by some liquorice, earth, dried herbs and spice. Rich black plum, morello cherry and liquorice fruits have a plush feel underscored by some coconut like vanillin oak and spicy dried herbs. Polished tannins with a lush black plum, morello cherry, liquorice, spicy vanillin oak and earthy dried herb aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
